"Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives"

A couple of months ago, my brother and sister in law's restaurant, Sidewinders American Grill, was selected to appear on the Food Network show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" with Guy Fieri. Serendipitously, the new season kicked off while we were in Jackson and Sidewinders was one of the featured spots on the premiere episode. We all went to Sidewinders for a watch party and had a blast.  That's my mom's cousin Mike sitting with my Uncle Bill's wife Donna above.

 My niece Jordan
My sister Kathi, Mom, and Aunt Gin
Cousin Robert and his wife Felicia
My niece Vicki and her sons Asher and Alden
 My sister Kathi and me
My Aunt Dolores and Uncle George came in from Utah. Uncle George is my Dad's brother, now age 86.
My brother Joe with Guy Fieri on the show.  Joe had some pretty funny lines and cracked us up several times.

Uncle George and Aunt Mary, siblings
My niece Nicole, Joe's oldest daughter, and the bride to be, with her groom to be, Tyler
 Aidan and Grandpa Rich
 Gigi and Ally
Felicia, my Aunt Teresa (another of my dad's sisters, age 89) and her daughter, my cousin TM.

Another beautiful day in Jackson

We went out to my brother and sister in law's home to catch up with more family who'd arrived in town.  My nephew Ryan, his wife Vicki, their son Alden, my niece Jordan (all from San Antonio) and Sarah chatting
Aunt Gin and Mom enjoying the weather
Ally thought it was a little cold for a Texas girl
Aidan hanging out in the big wedding reception tent
Elle in the tent.  Ally and Elle were convinced that they were going to get to sing two songs from the movie "Frozen" at the reception. They practiced and practiced on the stage and in the car and at the condo.  It was pretty hard to explain to them that the bride and groom had already chosen their music for the event and that they were probably not going to get to perform!
 My great nephew Asher
Then we went into Jackson and walked around downtown for awhile.  Of course we had to have a photo of the kids under the giant antler arch.  :)

Family Fun

We were in Jackson Hole for my niece Nicole's wedding.  After the wedding party completed their rehearsal on the Friday night before the wedding, we were all invited to join them at my brother and sister in law's restaurant, Pizza Artisan, for dinner.  We were happy to see lots of family there!  My cousin Robert, above, used to live in Maryland but has recently retired to one of the Carolinas, with Mom, and my mom's cousin Mike's wife Sandy, both from New Jersey.
 Sarah and my mom
My Uncle Bill (Mom's brother) in from North Carolina, and my cousin Robert (on my dad's side)
 Miles and Sarah
My Aunt Ginny and Aunt Mary from New Jersey.  Aunt Gin was married to my Uncle Kirby, my dad's brother. Aunt Mary is my dad's sister, still going strong at age 91.
Ally, Rich, Miles, Elle and Sarah
My brother Joe, father of the bride, and my cousin Robert's wife Felicia
The kids LOVED dancing later that night.  We had to drag them away when it was time to go home!

Jackson Hole Aerial Tram

We met up with Sarah and Miles and took the kids to Teton Village where we rode the aerial tram.  Saw lots of paragliders!
In 15 minutes, the aerial tram glides 4,139 vertical feet from the base of Teton Village to the top of Rendezvous Mountain.  The summit offers a 360 degree view of the Snake River Valley, Grand Teton National Park and the Gros Ventre Range in the distance.

Once at the top, we wandered around for a bit and took in the beautiful sights.

 Beck, Gigi and Ally

Miles in back, Jane, Ally, Elle, Sarah, Beck and Aidan

I think this looks like one of those photos in a magazine that says "celebrities are just like us."  :)

Later the bigger kids went on the alpine slide at Snow King with Rich and Miles while Sarah and I took Beck to the park.  Miles and Elle on the chairlift going 2500 ft. up the mountain!

Rich rode with Ally and all he got was this picture of her hair!  They had big fun on the slide!

Jackson, Wyoming

We arrived in Jackson the afternoon of July 16 and checked into our condo at the Aspens.  Sarah, Miles, Elle and Beck were already there and staying not far from us.  We got to keep all four grandkids that night and went out for a walk after dinner.  Above, Elle, Ally, Beck and Aidan.
These girls were so happy to see each other and told us they wished they were sisters.  Too cute!
Beck showing off his balancing skills
They all had a ball picking flowers and blowing the puffy dandelions into the air.

We've been having a great time and have not had much of a chance to post.  At the moment, we are traveling with Aidan and Ally in my brother's RV and have not had internet at many of our stops. The kids  have been great fun!  Will try to catch up as I can!
