Visiting Vesta

We rented a car and left San Francisco last Friday to drive to Rich's sister Vesta's in Kingsburg, CA (about three hours away). The warm sunshiney weather continued and we had a pleasant trip. Vesta had chicken tacos finishing up when we arrived and we had a great time talking and laughing through the night, looking at old photos and family keepsakes. Over the weekend, Vesta and Rich tackled a few boxes of family stuff from the house and in the garage, deciding what to keep and what to toss.
Lots of memories and fun stories ensued, as well as discussion of family roots and ancestors and who's who.

I really should put one of Rich's little boy pics here. He was so cute. :)

We also spent some more time on the computer, showing Vesta the fun of Facebook and how to work with photos, etc.

On Saturday, Rich cooked us a fabulous pasta dinner and we stayed up way too late talking, going through photos and messing around on the computer.

Sunday included more of the same as well as going out for a nice Mexican dinner. Vesta had to go out of town early Monday morning so we said our goodbyes on Sunday night. We'd be heading for El Dorado Hills to see Rich's cousin Mary Ethel and her husband Roger on Monday. Vesta was going to be in Sacramento for training, not far from their house, so there was the chance we could all get together one more time.

It was a great visit with lots of fun and lots of laughs. Thanks, Vesta, for having us!
