It's September 1st and I signed up awhile back to participate in a creative project called 30 Days of Lists, run by two bloggers, Amy of
Lemon and Raspberry and Kam of
Campfire Chic. I don't remember where I read about Thirty Days of Lists, but probably ran across it while clicking on "next blog" at the top of this page late one night when I couldn't sleep. Anyway, it sounded like fun and I am always making lists of one kind or another so I figured it was right up my alley. Unfortunately, I am not craftsy at all and there's probably no way I would ever get around to creating a cute, cool, clever, interesting, or beautiful scrapbook of my month's worth of lists like many of the participants do. Instead of feeling inadequate or intimidated, I decided I would just post my lists here without any fanfare or embellishments. Simple and easy, right?
Check out the 30 Days of Lists
website and you can probably still sign up even though it's already September! Who wants to join me?
Some of the random lists I found around the house while thinking about this.
The prompt for today is "I am a Lister because...."
*it helps me stay (somewhat) organized.
*I hear a great song on the radio, I want to download it, and I can't remember the title or the artist by the time I get home (or, sadly, even that I heard a song that I wanted to download).
*books, books, books--I see a review or an article and think "that would be a good one!" See above about songs--sort of the same thing.
*there's nothing worse than forgetting the MAIN thing I went to the store to get. Well, I know, there are
lots of worse things, but it's pretty annoying, let's just say that.
*there are a ton of people in my family and I can't cram all those birthdays into my head.
*to sum up, my memory isn't what it used to be. :)
Looking forward to the rest of the month!

I have always been a list maker. Often now, I "list" on my e-calendar, because it will also pop up my reminder that it was on my list. That helps me a lot, but I find I still want my pen and paper list, next to my computer. There is a greater amount of satisfaction in checking something off the list and writing "done" than in clicking "dismiss" and watching it disappear.
I will be watching for your lists...and then doing an analysis of what it tells me about you, publish it, and add to my portfolio. (Just kidding about that part of course. :)
I know what you mean. I have started lists on Outlook at work but don't seem to keep up with them very well. Still go to paper most of the time.
LOL I will look for the publication. Give me partial credit. :)
