Emery--Sunday Update

We're having a really good day today! I arrived at 9 AM and all three were sound asleep--what a sweet sight. I ran into Dr. Javi in the elevator and he said Emery's overnight "numbers" looked good. He said they were doing some routine lab work as well as chest and spine Xrays today. Emery has been content, has stayed awake some, and we got her out into a little swing for awhile. I'm doing laundry on the 16th floor and stopped in at the Child Life office to ask if they had any baby toys, coming back with a handful of brand new rattles and fun stuff for Emery to explore. We want her to stay awake and get a little stimulation since she's been stuck in the crib or in someone's arms all the time. Not sure if we can put her on her tummy since she has a bunch of cords attached--we are going to ask about that.

Emery had a shot in her leg and didn't even wake up. She is a tough cookie! Her weight is holding steady so that's good news. We are having a fairly quiet and relaxing day so far. Well, it's not quite as relaxing for Bonnie because she has many Mommy duties but at least it has been a pleasant day.
